Dignity Shouldn’t Disappear with Age or Disability

Our aging and our disabled family members and neighbors all have a basic human right to the care necessary to maintain the most productive and dignified life possible.

But, there’s a problem. The number of available workers to provide the most basic, direct-personal care is simply inadequate. While the need is large and growing, workers with the combination of skills and dedication necessary to provide truly good care are scarce.

For A Growing Challenge – A Growing Solution

CareGiver Training Institute exists to increase the number of qualified, skilled and motivated workers to serve the direct care needs of elderly and disabled individuals throughout Southern Arizona. To attack this chronic need, in this most hands-on area of care, we’ve created an innovative and flexible program for training men and women with the aptitude and desire to be of meaningful service.

And it really works!

We Can Help More with Your Help

In 2008 we passed the milestone of 200 adult graduates in a single year and we continue to grow.  In early 2010, we passed the milestone of 1000 graduates and counting!

We are the largest training program in Southern Arizona and the 3rd largest in the state of Arizona. We’ve expanded from one Tucson training center to an additional site in Green Valley and 13 clinical sites where are students learn. We’re now working in selected high schools, including Rio Rico and Nogales.

Contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations allow us to provide tuition grants to motivated students who would otherwise be unable to afford training. Your help will allow us to continue to expand our outreach and broaden what we do to improve the direct care resources in Southern Arizona.
